First Quality is seeking a Lead Chemical Blending Operator for the Salt Lake City, UT facility. The role focuses on supervising blending operations, training personnel, and ensuring batches meet quality standards.

The position requires a chemistry background (preferred) and 2–3 years blending experience, with strong communication and organizational skills. Occasional equipment maintenance and cross-department coordination are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Chemistry background preferred.
• 2–3 years blending experience.
• Must attend hazardous chemicals seminars.
• Clear communication at all organizational levels.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to follow written instructions.
• Good reading and writing skills; communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Train and assist blending personnel to ensure batch operations run properly.
• Troubleshoot equipment and batch problems.
• Assign tasks to blenders to maintain housekeeping.
• Maintain and ensure blending equipment functions correctly.
• Fill in for absent or vacationing blenders.
• Communicate with related departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Organize raw material storage and verify chemical inventories.
• Lead daily shift change meetings and maintain logs.
