Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• Certification as MT or MLS (ASCP) or MT AMT or MT HEW or MT NCA.
• 1 year hospital lab experience preferred.
• BCLS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and reviews quality control performance and assists with corrective action when controls are outside limits.
• Reviews instrument maintenance logs and aids staff with troubleshooting.
• Supports laboratory director with staffing coverage for unexpected absences.
• Troubleshoots, resolves, and reports equipment malfunctions.
• Participates in hospital-wide and departmental performance improvement activities.
