Job summary

Williamson Health in Franklin, TN seeks a Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery for night shift with weekend-only hours and higher shift differentials. You will provide obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic nursing care with emphasis on holistic patient well-being.

Requirements include Tennessee RN license, a nursing degree, BLS and NRP within specified times, ACLS, and ability to work up to twelve hours, on-call readiness.

Qualifications

• Must hold Tennessee RN license.
• Nursing diploma or degree from an accredited program.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year perinatal experience preferred.
• NRP within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS/ALS certification or be willing to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Care of the Obstetric Patient – Level I within 1 year of hire.
• Care of the High Risk Obstetric Patient – Level II within 1 year of hire.
• VUMC Advanced Fetal Monitoring or AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced Fetal Monitoring within 1 year of hire.
• Able to return to work within 1 hour when on call.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments on admission using observation, communication, and examination.
• Plan individualized patient care with nursing diagnoses and interventions.
• Provide patient teaching and discharge planning information.
• Administer medications and solutions safely per policy.
• Document accurately and timely.
• Reassess patient condition and adjust care plan as needed.
• Collaborate with the care team to support patient and family needs.
• Maintain a safe, healing environment and professional appearance.
