Job summary

Novant Health's East Cooper Medical Center is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN to join a patient-centered team caring for mothers, babies and families through the childbirth journey.

This PRN role covers 7pm–7am shifts with one on-call shift per schedule, requiring a BSN and active RN license; one year of relevant experience is preferred, with a supportive multidisciplinary environment and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• 4-year/bachelor's degree preferred; active RN licensure required.
• One year of relevant experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure in the appropriate state required.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and the immediate postpartum period.
• Assess, monitor, and respond to the needs of mothers and newborns during all stages of childbirth.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate and support patients and families regarding labor, delivery, newborn care, breastfeeding, and recovery.
• Advocate for patient safety while delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced, dynamic clinical environment.
• Assist during deliveries, emergency situations, and obstetric procedures while maintaining the highest standards of nursing excellence.
