Job summary

Incredible Health in San Luis Obispo, CA is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for night shifts. Eligible applicants include RNs with ADN or higher, and experience in antepartum, birthing, gynecology, or pelvic exams.

Responsibilities include assessing laboring patients, monitoring vital signs and fetal heart rates, administering medications (including epidurals), and providing education and support to patients and families, with BLS/ACLS required and teamwork emphasized.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher from an accredited program
• Active and unencumbered RN license
• 1+ years of Labor and Delivery/Obstetrics experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration with physicians and nurses
• Proficiency in EHR systems and standard L&D equipment

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement care for laboring mothers with obstetric team
• Monitor vital signs, contractions, and fetal heart rates; intervene as needed
• Administer medications and treatments including epidurals and IV fluids
• Provide emotional and educational support to patients and families
• Document status and outcomes per guidelines
