Job summary

CareerNation is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for contract openings in Frisco, TX. Choose from 1× or 2× 12-hour night shifts per week with 8-12 week contract options.

This role offers flexible scheduling and an opportunity to supplement existing schedules without committing to a full travel assignment. Responsibilities include direct care during labor, delivery, and recovery, fetal monitoring, medication administration, and collaboration with the obstetric team.

Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license or compact license is required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Recent Labor & Delivery experience preferred.
• Strong fetal monitoring skills required.
• Comfortable working independently during night shift.
• C-section experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care throughout labor, delivery and recovery.
• Monitor maternal and fetal status and perform fetal monitoring.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Assist with deliveries and C-sections.
• Recognize and respond to obstetric emergencies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and charting.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia and the multidisciplinary team.
