Job summary

Millennium Software and Staffing Inc is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week contract with possible extension to long-term. Schedule includes 36 hours per week on a night shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) with every other weekend and on-call responsibilities.

Cross-training in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum is required. Ideal candidates will have graduated from an accredited nursing program, hold a Michigan RN license, and have 1–2 years of Labor & Delivery experience, strong

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License is required.
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to Labor & Delivery and Postpartum patients.
• Monitor maternal and fetal conditions throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Provide patient and family education regarding labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care.
• Perform fetal monitoring and recognize changes requiring intervention.
• Respond quickly and appropriately to obstetric emergencies.
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, treatments, and outcomes.
• Communicate patient information effectively with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Supervise and delegate patient care activities as appropriate.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, patient safety, and infection prevention standards.
