Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomist to support laboratory operations by collecting blood specimens from inpatients and outpatients and ensuring accurate labeling and timely processing. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, formal phlebotomy training or a health-related degree, and a valid phlebotomy certification; color-acuity screening is also required.

You will work in a fast-paced clinical setting, communicate clearly with patients and staff, and maintain quality control

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Clinical training in phlebotomy program required or equivalent education.
• Two years' experience in specimen collections, processing, or requisitioning preferred.
• Valid Phlebotomy Certification required.
• Color-Acuity screening test must be passed.

Responsibilities

• Handle laboratory data collection systems to ensure test requests are properly ordered, cancelled, and charged.
• Perform specimen collection procedures for inpatients and outpatients.
• Process and distribute specimens from patients in a timely and accurate manner.
