Job summary

Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital is seeking a Senior Lab Worker for the night shift (Sun-Thurs 11pm-7:30am, rotating holidays). The role oversees specimen receiving operations, directs staff during downtime, ensures accurate reporting, and maintains safety and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has at least two years in a clinical laboratory, strong communication and computer skills, and the ability to train new staff. This full-time position is based on-site at Core Laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Maintains records and performs related clerical tasks.
