Job summary

Antech Diagnostics in Orlando, FL seeks a Specimen Processor to receive, prepare and process specimens for laboratory analyses. This full-time role requires entering patient data, labeling samples and ensuring accurate tracking in storage racks while adhering to SOPs and safety guidelines.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 0–1 year of related experience, strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent; science-related classes recommended.
• 0–1 year related work experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong data entry and keyboarding skills; proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Receives and prepares samples for laboratory analyses.
• Accurately process standard requisitions per approved procedures.
• Enter patient data, label samples and aliquot for testing.
• Scan and store samples, ensure accurate specimen data in the database.
• Maintain turnaround times and follow SOPs; keep work area clean and stocked.
• Assist lab personnel with specimen storage and other duties as needed.
