Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our team in Dublin, OH. The position runs Thursday through Saturday, 11:30pm–8:00am, with rotating holidays. Responsibilities include receiving and sorting specimens, preparing samples for testing, data entry, and maintaining equipment and safety procedures.

Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3 months or more of specimen processing experience is preferred.
• 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience is preferred.
• Comfortability with handling biological specimens and ability to identify specimens.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor maintenance.
• Troubleshoot specimen-related issues and replenish bench supplies.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested.
• Follow SOPs to ensure safety and quality standards.
