Job summary

Air Combat Effectiveness Consulting Group, LLC seeks an experienced Labor & Delivery RN in California to deliver direct patient care across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and neonatal stages.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care, monitor maternal and fetal conditions, coordinate with physicians and leadership, ensure safety protocols, and support breastfeeding and skin-to-skin bonding initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license required upon hire and must be maintained.
• Minimum of 1 year of successful experience in Labor & Delivery (L&D) or Couplet Care.
• BCLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required by AHA.
• Birth & Beyond and Intermediate/Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-spectrum nursing care for women and newborns across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and neonatal stages, including initial assessments within 2 hours of arrival.
• Monitor labor progression, maternal and fetal vital signs, and respond to changes in patient status.
• Administer medications and IV therapies, ensure proper identification and safety checks.
• Collaborate with physicians and leadership, support bedside procedures and time-out safety protocols.
• Conduct detailed bedside change-of-shift reports and purposeful patient rounds for continuity of care.
• Maintain infection control and PPE compliance, inspect crash cart and defibrillator as per protocol.
• Support discharge planning, breastfeeding and mother-baby bonding initiatives.
• Incorporate age-specific, cultural, and spiritual needs into individual patient care, upholding patient safety goals.
