Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ is hiring a night shift Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a full-time position. You will care for a designated patient population and collaborate with the care team to ensure quality outcomes.

You will lead and coordinate nursing care, supervise staff, and report to the Nurse Manager. Must hold NJ RN license, ACLS, BLS, NRP, and have 1–2 years L&D experience; AWHONN EFM training required within 6 months.

Qualifications

• RN with New Jersey Board of Nursing or a Multistate License from the NCL is required.
• Graduate of an NLN/AACN-accredited program in nursing.
• ACLS certification required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer and prior to direct patient care.
• NRP certification required.
• 1-2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required.
• Able to complete AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring Course within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• RN Staff Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population to achieve outcomes.
• Directs and oversees care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation and coordination.
• Coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services.
• RN Staff Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager.
