Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a patient care technician to prepare rooms for new admissions, welcome patients, and assist with transfers while following safety guidelines. You will document vital signs, intake/output, and weights, and serve as a liaison among patients, families and medical staff.

Responsibilities include responding to call lights, maintaining a clean, safe environment, and assisting with activities of daily living.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv.
• BLS required; CPCT/A/CNA/EMT required as alternatives.
• Ability to learn EMR and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rooms for admissions and orient patients.
• Transfer patients with assistance and ensure safety.
• Document vitals, intake/output, and weights per policy.
• Greet families, liaise with staff, and maintain clean environment.
