Job summary

Stability Healthcare is seeking a local contract Hospital Pharmacist for a 13-week assignment in Chesapeake, Virginia. The role involves 36 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts at a local facility.

Responsibilities include reviewing prescriptions, organizing the pharmacy, managing stock and labeling, assisting with injections and vital checks, preparing medications, maintaining patient records, and staying current with medical advancements.

Responsibilities

• Review and check physician prescriptions for appropriateness and legality
• Organize the pharmacy to enable quick product identification
• Control delivery, stocking, labeling of medicines and monitor shelf life
• Listen to customers, understand needs, and provide information and advice
• Assist with injections and other basic medical ser vices (BP, temp, etc.)
• Prepare medications with correct dosages for each patient
• Maintain patient history records and documentation for high‑risk medications
• Keep up with medical advancements by attending conferences and collaborating with healthcare professionals
• Comply with all applicable laws, regulations and procedures
