Job summary

Avery Dennison Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the site maintenance team in Mentor, OH. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automated manufacturing equipment to support plant uptime and safe operations.

Shifts run 6 PM to 6 AM with a $31.47/hour base rate plus a $2.00/hour shift differential. Ideal candidates will have a trade-school or associate-degree in industrial maintenance and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Trade school certification or assoc degree in industrial maintenance or equivalent journeyman-level experience.
Analytical curiosity and root-cause problem-solving mindset.
Ability to read technical drawings, troubleshoot 3-phase/PLC systems, and safely use testing instruments.
Adaptability, teamwork, and willingness to work overtime.
Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair automated equipment, motors, conveyors, switchboards, relays, and power distribution circuits.
Locate root causes using schematics and perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
Install conduit, wiring, components and test equipment for safety, OSHA compliance, and efficiency.
Collaborate with engineers and production teams to report shift metrics, logs, and improve quality and safety workflows.
