Job summary

CRH is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Georgia operations. The role focuses on preventative maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery, as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor, with possible support to mobile mechanics and plant personnel.

Responsibilities include installing, adjusting, and repairing production equipment, using hand and power tools, welding, light machining, and ensuring safe, timely operation. Strong reading of manuals and team-orientation are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical or vocational certification or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and operations manuals and follow step-by-step instructions.

Responsibilities

• Install, adjust, and repair production equipment, and special purpose machines as assigned
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, change parts, and complete tasks as assigned
• Welding, torching, and light machining as required
• Perform general repairs and preventative maintenance to plant structures
• Keep the work area in a clean and orderly condition
• Test and troubleshoot malfunctioning machinery, determine repairs, and follow through with these repairs to assure proper operation of equipment in a safe, timely manner
• Install equipment and/or electrical components and test to ensure proper functioning
• Dismantle equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools
• Replace and install parts as needed
• Lubricate and clean parts and equipment to ensure proper operation
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
