Job summary

Clean Harbors in Smithfield, KY is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and repairs across our industrial treatment, storage, and disposal facility. The role focuses on ensuring safe and efficient operations, with hands-on work on mechanical equipment, piping, pumps, tanks, and heavy machinery.

Shift options are nights (9pm-5am) or (11pm-7am). Up to $31 per hour based on experience, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Strong industrial maintenance experience with hands-on knowledge of mechanical equipment, piping systems, pumps, tanks, heavy equipment, and process machinery.
• Self-starter who identifies maintenance needs, troubleshoots issues, prioritizes work and completes tasks with minimal supervision.
• Must adhere to safety policies, environmental regulations and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment and infrastructure.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on industrial machinery, pumps, motors, conveyors, shredders, compressors, and associated equipment.
• Maintain and repair piping systems, valves, fittings, flanges, pumps, and transfer systems.
• Coordinate with operations to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and work orders.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance as required.
