Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a maintenance technician for night shifts in Salt Lake City, UT. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining manufacturing equipment, with a base pay starting at $24.75–$29.00 per hour plus a $1.50 shift differential and a quarterly bonus program.

The position requires strong electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge, safety discipline, and the ability to work with heavy machinery and tools. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Self starter with strong electrical safety and troubleshooting skills.
• Mechanical systems experience required.
• Medium voltage troubleshooting and repair (480 VAC) experience.
• Understanding of basic electrical principles.
• Hydraulics and pneumatics experience.
• Mechanical aptitude with hand and power tools.
• Proficient reading and writing.
• Knowledge of bearings and drive systems.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow safety rules for hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic and electrical equipment.
• Tackle highly technical or changing problems on manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment.
• Safely handle voltages and power sources.
• Perform visual and mechanical inspections to keep machinery in good condition.
• Follow preventive maintenance programs and take corrective action when needed.
• Provide on-the-job direction to new maintenance staff and helpers.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in the work area.
