Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Night Shift Maintenance Technician in Augusta, GA (Laney Walker Blvd., Dry-ice). The role entails repairing and maintaining production equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and collaborating with supervisors to ensure safe operation.

Weekend availability is required, with a pay rate starting at $31+ per hour DOE and a $3,000 sign-on bonus. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, and more.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• 3 years experience in a production/manufacturing environment in maintenance.
• Formal training in Industrial Maintenance, Hydraulics, Industrial Electrical, PLC, Refrigeration, Compressors or Pneumatics.
• HazMat Required

Responsibilities

• Contributes to repairs and installations on all plant production equipment.
• Ensures completion of preventive maintenance as assigned.
• Performs equipment inspections to support proper operation and safety.
• Collaborates on repair functions with production supervisors.
• Highlights and shares safety hazards and quality deficiencies with maintenance management.
• Operates a forklift and/or pallet jack as needed to perform job functions.
• Enters data into maintenance and inventory software systems.
• Understands and upholds all safety and quality policies and procedures.
• Clean-up as required including sweeping, washing, painting, trash removal and pick-up.
• Occasional assistance with production needs.
