Job summary

West Avenue Compassion is seeking a Maintenance Technician to repair and install production/manufacturing equipment on the nights shift at our Arlington, TX facility.

The role requires reading drawings, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and working with outside contractors while adhering to GMP and safety standards; candidates must have own hand tools and be prepared for physically demanding tasks.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Pass technical assessment addressing job-critical maintenance knowledge areas
• Experience with mechanical systems (gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings)
• Experience with product manuals (reading and applying knowledge to make repairs)
• Experience with troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns (pinpointing and fixing breakdowns)
• Experience with reading mechanical drawings (hydraulics, pneumatics)
• Experience with basic electrical systems
• Experience with compressors/ammonia systems
• Experience with conveyors/airveyors
• Experience with electrical systems (installation, frequency drive, troubleshooting)
• Experience with electronics, gearing/gear boxes, hydraulic systems, kinematics
• Experience with SERVO/robotic motors
• Experience with troubleshooting and working in team-based environments

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment
• Repair all production equipment as needed
• Perform breakdown analysis
• Upgrade production lines with new equipment/technology
• Work with outside contractors working on assigned line
• Comply with GMP, safety, and audit standards
• Work independently under limited supervision
