Job summary

AST SpaceMobile is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to support maintenance and reliability of production equipment, facility systems, and manufacturing operations within our satellite production facility in Midland, TX. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and supporting continuous improvement to maximize uptime.

The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical aptitude, electrical troubleshooting, and experience with CMMS and reading

Qualifications

U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or authorized to work in the United States.
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 1 year of industrial maintenance or related experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and work instructions.
Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on production equipment, facility systems, machinery, and support equipment.
Inspect equipment to identify wear, potential failures, and reliability concerns.
Document maintenance activities using CMMS and related systems.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromechanical systems.
Diagnose equipment failures using schematics and technical manuals.
Repair or replace motors, sensors, relays, switches, pumps, conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, and valves.
Support production operations by responding to breakdowns and minimizing downtime.
Maintain building systems including lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical infrastructure.
Follow safety procedures, participate in audits, and ensure compliance with regulations.
