Job summary

nVent is seeking a Machine Maintenance Technician for its Centralia, IL facility. This overnight role involves maintaining and repairing production equipment to ensure safe, efficient operations on the 3rd shift (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM). Pay range is $27.50-$29.00 per hour, with a path to broader benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical trade certification preferred.
• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics and interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing systems on production and facility equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Install, move, maintain, and repair manufacturing machinery and building systems.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to identify and resolve issues.
• Fabricate and repair machine components using shop tools and welding equipment.
• Inspect equipment, identify failures, and recommend corrective actions to improve efficiency.
• Maintain maintenance records and communicate repairs and improvements.
• Support plant safety by following procedures and keeping a clean work area.
