Job summary

BSA Hospital in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Night shift, full-time Intermediate Care (IMC) 6C Charge Registered Nurse (RN). The role requires an accredited nursing degree and current Texas RN licensure, with BLS due within 14 days of hire and at least two years in acute care.

Responsibilities include delegating and coordinating care for a shift and providing nursing leadership to staff to ensure adherence to the nursing process and quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience

Responsibilities

• The Charge Nurse assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delegation and coordination of patient care for a shift.
• She/he provides leadership to the staff by working cooperatively with the nursing staff and other members of the healthcare team to assure that care is given through utilization of the nursing process.
