Dysart Unified School District is seeking a Skilled Maintenance Worker for HVAC/GENERAL work on the Night Shift in Surprise, AZ. This full-time, benefited position reports to the Director of Maintenance & Facilities and supports students and staff by keeping buildings safe and well-maintained. Shift runs 2:00 p.m.

to 10:30 p.m. and requires high school diploma and practical maintenance skills. Responsibilities include plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building upkeep; reading

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Working knowledge in carpentry, electric, and general building maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, installs plumbing, electrical, HVAC, landscape irrigation, restrooms and kitchen equipment.
• Performs preventative maintenance and records.
• Diagnoses and repairs electrical, HVAC, plumbing equipment; replaces fixtures and components as needed.
• Reads schematics/blueprints and interprets instructions.
• Performs mechanical maintenance and replaces worn parts.
• Cleans and drains sewer lines; maintains doors, windows, locks.
