Job summary

Penobscot Valley Hospital is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support facility upkeep and floor care across hospital buildings. The role focuses on patching, painting, winter plowing, and preventive maintenance as scheduling allows.

The position is full-time (32 hours weekly) on nights Monday night through Thursday night, with shift differential and union status. Requires high school diploma and Maine driver's license; background check and pre-employment physical required.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of commercial floor care, HVAC, construction, carpentry, grounds maintenance preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support a building maintenance program across multiple buildings; perform preventive, predictive, repair and punch-list work.
• Complete work orders including mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical tasks as needed.
• Perform floor care, snow removal, trash and waste disposal, and general courier duties.
