Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, ID is seeking a Full-Time Healthcare Mechanic to support the Engineering and Facilities team. You will maintain and repair facility systems to ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

The role requires 2+ years in maintenance; a strong background in HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry is preferred. Schedule is Sunday-Wednesday, 9pm–7:30am, with full-time hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; related trade school or manufacturer training preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years in plant/building maintenance or related trade.
• Central plant operations experience preferred.
• Strong background in commercial HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical and carpentry maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs facility safety devices to ensure compliance with safety codes.
• Performs entry level corrective and preventive maintenance on facility space, equipment, and systems.
• General building repairs (e.g., ceiling tiles, minor wall damage, painting).
• Entry level carpentry, electrical, HVAC and plumbing repairs.
• Operate Central Plant Equipment, Fire, HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing systems at a basic level.
• Operate and understand Simplex fire panel and fire response protocols.
• Follow department SOPs and perform preventive maintenance as assigned.
• Maintain knowledge of AIMS work order system and daily accountability.
• Learn and maintain basic skills via on-the-job training.
