Job summary

WK Medical Center in Shreveport, LA is seeking a full-time Night Environmental Services Associate to perform daily cleaning and supplies in patient rooms, wards, lounges, and offices. You will use standard equipment and follow facility procedures to support a safe, sanitary environment.

Training provided; prior environmental experience preferred. Must pass pre-employment physical and understand chemical hazards as per the written program. Night shift commitment required.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment and annual physical examination.
• Must, after brief training, be able to demonstrate the correct use of chemicals, supplies, and tools assigned.
• Previous environmental experience preferred.
• Must understand the potential hazards presented by the use of chemicals to self and to others as is outlined in the Department's Written hazard Communication Program.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning and stocking of patient rooms, wards, nursing stations, lounges, laboratories, bathrooms, offices, and other areas assigned in accordance with standard procedures of the Housekeeping Department and in accordance with the facility's objectives. Will use cleaning devices including 16 oz. wet mops, small wringers, dusters, household type vacuum cleaners, and other necessary tools, products, and supplies.
