Job summary

North Shore Medical Center, Inc. is hiring for a per diem cleaner responsible for preventing the spread of diseases through thorough cleaning, sanitizing, and waste disposal. The role includes moving equipment, operating floor machines, and maintaining clean, safe areas across the medical center.

This is an onsite night-shift position with flexible scheduling expectations. Education preferred is some high school; experience in cleaning is valued.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and how to apply chemicals safely.
• Experience with cleaning tools such as vacuums and floor buffers.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning duties per schedules and infection control guidelines.
• Completes waste stream removal.
• Clean and service assigned areas following procedures.
• Move furniture, equipment, and supplies to keep areas neat and sanitary.
• Operates floor machines and buffers as assigned.
• Participates in at least eight unit/department meetings annually.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary patient and non-patient areas.
