Job summary

Lavelle Industries Inc. in Burlington, WI is seeking a 3rd Shift Heavy Machine Operator. You will set up and operate presses, load molds, inspect parts, and perform basic machine servicing while adhering to safety procedures.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and staying active through the shift, with start times at 11:00 pm. Join a hands-on team focused on meeting production goals and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to use measuring devices accurately and consistently.
• Ability to meet production and quality targets on a consistent basis.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload molds from presses manually as required.
• Perform minor servicing of the press, including demolding parts and maintenance tasks.
• Perform authorized machine and parameter adjustments to maintain part quality and targets.
• Perform press start-up and shut-down procedures.
• Inspect molded parts and perform secondary operations as needed.
• Assemble and package finished goods as needed.
• Perform manual material handling as required.
• Record and submit accurate production and quality data.
• Complete department TPM and/or 5S checklists as assigned.
• Follow standard work, line clearance, and setup verification procedures.
• Follow PPE and safety rules specified for the work area.
• Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities.
• Train others within the work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
