Job summary

Coast Pavement Services is seeking a Sweeper Operator for night shift to safely operate a heavy-duty sweeper truck and handheld equipment for cleaning client sites, including private streets and parking lots. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections and ensure all tools and materials are secured before operation, following both written and oral instructions.

The role requires independent work, adherence to OSHA/DOT rules, and flexibility for schedule changes.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work independently, under a supervisor’s instruction.
• Spanish proficiency a plus but NOT a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently to cleans streets, lots and other locations of trash, leaves, and other debris.
• Must be able to work independently, under a supervisor’s instruction.
• Understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Ensures supplies, materials and equipment are secured prior to operating sweeper.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle. (DVIR)
• May operate a variety of hand and power tools as well as other equipment needed to complete jobs within specifications, including a backpack blower.
• Walking around using a backpack blower during a large percentage of a work shift.
• Notifies Route Supervisor of any incidents/accidents/injures/property damage.
• Completes job tickets with detailed information and turns in as required.
• Additional tasks of other positions and duties as assigned.
