Job summary

AdventHealth in Celebration, Florida seeks a Night Shift Health Unit Coordinator to support unit operations on the floor. The role involves coordinating medication placement, charting information, and interdepartmental communication to ensure patient care flows smoothly.

Requirements include high school diploma or GED and completion of a Health Unit Coordinator course; hospital experience is preferred, and BLS may be required by department policy.

Qualifications

• High school grad or equivalent.
• Completion of Health Unit Coordinator course.
• Experience in hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department or unit.

• Notifies and calls other departments or physicians when necessary and places appropriate information on the chart, forms, computer, and electronic record.
• Accesses the medication room to place medications in a secure area upon arrival to the floor.
