Perdue Farms Inc. seeks a Hatchery Technician - Night Shift to monitor incubators and maintain optimal hatchery conditions.

You will work with maintenance to resolve issues, handle loading/unloading of egg trucks, and support sanitation and egg handling processes to ensure high-quality chicks. The role offers a $17.25 per hour wage with overtime potential, a shift-based schedule, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical/Rx, 401(k) with employer match after 1 year, and disability

Qualifications

• Reading and writing skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Visually check all hatchers and incubators every 3 hours for proper temperatures and humidity; record readings.
• Record hall temperatures, static pressure, and water temperatures.
• Respond promptly to alarms and assist maintenance to fix issues as needed.
• Unload egg trucks (up to 36 racks weighing 500 lbs each) and push 100 ft.
• Reload trucks with empty racks (150 lbs each) and clean trucks prior to reloading.
• Assist in tray eggs prior to set and ensure eggs are set according to the set sheet with machines level and connected properly.
• Stack chick boxes on Thursdays and Fridays; perform other duties as assigned by management.
