Job summary

Perdue Foods is seeking a Hatchery Maintenance Mechanic I on first shift to keep our hatchery running at peak performance. You will maintain, service, and repair production and electrical equipment to ensure safe, reliable operations and minimize downtime.

Responsibilities include reading manuals, performing preventive maintenance and emergency repairs, and adhering to OSHA Lockout/Tagout and safety rules. Must have high school diploma and basic tools; overtime may be available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-2 years of maintenance experience is preferred.
• Ability to read manuals, safety policies and technical docs.
• Must have personal tools and learn to use hand tools and shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret and understand equipment manuals and PM sheets.
• Perform adjustments, repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Handle emergency breakdowns and normal repairs with safety compliance.
• Monitor equipment performance and inform supervisors of issues.
• Maintain logbooks and calibrate machinery to performance standards.
