Job summary

Meijer is seeking an engaged Overnight Stocking Supervisor for our Terre Haute, IN store. You will plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day operations of the grocery department, mentoring staff and driving customer service and sales while maintaining store standards.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• 1 year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store are helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with team members.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and address root causes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze financial information.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Responsible for staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning by providing career paths and development for team members.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions and make recommendations concerning discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Model exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in team meetings and conversations.
• Mentor and coach the team to exceed sales goals and maintain Meijer standards.
