Job summary

Price Rite in Cranston is seeking a Night Crew Chief to monitor pricing, stocking, facing and rotation of grocery merchandise, ensuring an attractive, clean and well-stocked store image. The role supports cross-training and a positive customer experience, with opportunities for advancement within Price Rite’s team-oriented environment.

The position requires English literacy, basic math, physical stamina, and the ability to operate scanners and power equipment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to perform basic Math skills.
• Ability to understand and follow directions as given.
• Ability to do the job while standing.
• Ability to bend and reach.
• Ability to lift boxes up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to operate a Telxon scanner.
• Ability to push/pull 4-wheel equipment loaded with product.

Responsibilities

• Observe store rules and company policies.
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance and dress code.
• Observe shift operating hours as scheduled by store manager.
• Adhere to health and civil code regulations.
• Promote customer satisfaction by ensuring pricing and signage are clear and accurate.
• Rotate product to ensure freshness and proper stock levels.
• Maintain shelf allocations for maximum sales and profit.
• Follow cleaning and sanitation schedules.
• Remove trash and cardboard as required.
• Follow procedures to open cartons and handle damaged products.
• Notify supervisor of product shortages.
• Restock and display products, organize backroom stock.
• Unload trucks when needed and operate related equipment.
• Ring up night crew purchases.
• Use store security systems and keys per policy.
• Maintain Food Safety Certification or complete training to obtain it.
• Perform other duties as assigned
