Job summary

Allied Universal in Columbia, SC seeks a Government Facility Security Officer full time. You will serve and safeguard clients in government settings, patrol facilities unarmed, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while communicating with staff and visitors.

This driving post requires a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license in the job state.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to facility staff, visitors, and authorized personnel while carrying out security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report unusual activity, prohibited items, property concerns, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow site procedures with appropriate personnel notified.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation.
