Job summary

Great Lakes Cheese in Manchester, TN is seeking a Food Safety and Quality Assurance Technician to support the Overall Food Safety Plan through monitoring, record review, and inspections. The role focuses on ensuring product integrity in a lab/production setting.

Responsibilities include environmental monitoring, daily line checks, data entry, and adherence to GMP and Safe Quality Food standards, with cross-functional collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• High School Degree is required.
• Ability to complete tasks based on standard procedures.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work cross-functionally.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct verification inspections for post sanitation and pre-operation cleans.
• Conduct pre-operational and environmental monitoring swabs.
• Conduct plating of environmental monitoring swabs.
• Monitor room, cooler and incubator temperatures.
• Conduct routine testing and monitoring of product and packaging attributes to established specifications.
• Conduct daily review of labels and retain product.
• Conduct real time review of production records.
• Conduct daily line inspections.
• Conduct routine data entry and filing of paperwork.
• Adhere to stated safety policies and procedures.
• Produce products in a manner that exceeds quality and value expectations by following GMP and Safe Quality Food Program.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by plant FSQA leadership.
• Maintain company confidentiality.
