Silgan Closures in Champaign, IL seeks a Packaging & Inventory Technician I for the night shift. This role operates forklifts and packaging lines to move materials, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure product quality in a safe environment.

You will handle labeling, palletizing, and monitoring AGVs, while performing minor maintenance and troubleshooting. A high school diploma and forklift experience are preferred, with opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Forklift experience strongly preferred in manufacturing/warehouse environments.
• Ability to operate forklifts, packaging equipment, and basic mechanical tasks.
• Comfort with using computers, tablets, scanners, and other electronic devices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail and safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to move raw materials and finished goods.
• Perform pallet put-away and inventory movements.
• Label and verify finished product shipments and loads.
• Monitor packaging equipment, stretch wrappers, conveyors, and AGVs/robot alarms.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and participate in inventory reconciliation.
