Job summary

Silgan Containers is hiring a Forklift Operator for the Maxton, NC facility on 3rd shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM). The role includes operating forklifts, loading outbound trucks with finished sheet metal products, unloading coils and raw materials, and maintaining material flow to production lines.

Some overtime and weekends may be required. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 6 months to 2 years of forklift experience in manufacturing or warehousing, with a focus on safety and

Qualifications

• 6 months to 2 years of forklift experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment.
• Demonstrate safe forklift operation and obtain certification if not already certified.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load finished sheet metal products onto outbound trucks.
• Unload incoming coils, raw materials, and deliveries.
• Supply production lines with materials to maintain operations.
• Prepare finished goods for transfer and shipment.
• Assist with inventory and order preparation.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety/quality procedures.
