Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Lacombe, LA is hiring a Forklift Operator for the night shift. You will load and unload shipments, move stock, and operate stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks in a fast-paced warehouse.

Role requires a forklift certificate or completion within 30 days and at least 6 months of warehouse experience. Cherry picker experience and basic computer knowledge are preferred. DHL offers comprehensive benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment
• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
• Six months warehouse experience, preferred
• Six months forklift operation experience

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using forklifts or power equipment 80% of shift
• Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensure correct quantities and types
• Maintain inventory records and reports for accuracy
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards
• Verify load accuracy, stability, and check for damage; report variances
• Monitor equipment batteries/LP tanks and power sources
• Keep equipment and facilities neat and orderly
• Assist in physical inventories
• Perform daily equipment inspections
• Perform other duties as assigned
