Job summary

Staffmark Group is seeking a Forklift Operator in Lacombe, LA. You will operate forklifts and related equipment to load, unload, and move pallets, while ensuring accurate inventory and safe handling of goods.

The role requires 3+ years forklift experience, OSHA knowledge, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced warehouse. Training and certification within 30 days is encouraged. Weekly pay and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 3+ years forklift experience preferred.
• Forklift certification or ability to complete training within 30 days of hire.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and other powered equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy.
• OSHA and MSDS safety standards knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and other powered equipment to load, unload, move, stack, and stage products.
• Pull and prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring correct quantity and product type.
• Inspect inbound and outbound shipments for damage, infestation, and product accuracy.
• Verify load counts, stability, product codes, and shipping requirements.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and complete required warehouse documentation.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Change forklift batteries or LP tanks and monitor equipment performance.
• Assist with physical inventories and inventory control activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned by management.
