Job summary

Bimbo Bakeries USA is hiring a Shipping Associate Forklift Operator in its distribution department. This entry-level role moves product, loads and unloads trucks, and supports the front-line operations to ensure accurate orders.

The position requires operating a forklift, lifting up to 50 pounds, and standing for a 12-hour shift. Benefits and pension are part of the collective agreement. Evening shift is from 10:30 pm to 6:30 am.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-3 years shipping or warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Ability to move product with hand trucks, dollies or other equipment.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and adapt to production changes.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for full shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain food safety and quality system integrity.
• Report and prevent food safety/quality issues.
• Follow Food Safety Plan and Food Quality Plan procedures.
• Load trucks and route with proper variety quantities.
• Know product locations on shipping dock and tray quantities.
• Keep work area clean and manage empty trays.
• Regular attendance is essential.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
