Job summary

Staffmark is seeking a Forklift Operator in Lacombe, LA to move, load, and organize palletized goods in a fast-paced warehouse. You will operate forklifts and related equipment, perform inspections, and support shipping/receiving.

The role requires attention to inventory accuracy, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to work 6 pm–6 am with a schedule including weekends. Previous warehouse experience is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse training or powered industrial truck training is beneficial.
• Three years of forklift operation experience is desirable. 2 years Sit Down Forklift in a warehouse environment.
• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment is essential.
• Must have computer experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and other powered equipment to load, unload, move, stack, and stage products
• Pull and prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring the correct quantity and product type
• Inspect inbound and outbound shipments for damage, infestation, and product accuracy
• Verify load counts, stability, product codes, and shipping requirements
• Maintain accurate inventory records and complete required warehouse documentation
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
• Change forklift batteries or LP tanks and monitor equipment performance
• Assist with physical inventories and inventory control activities
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
• Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned by management
