Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Forklift Operator in Lacombe, LA. The role runs 6 pm–6 am with a pay rate of $20.40 per hour; four weekdays, then three weekdays and a weekend.

You will move, count, and optimize warehouse operations, performing duties from loading to inventory control, while ensuring accuracy and safety across daily tasks. Responsibilities include operating forklifts and related equipment, inspecting shipments, maintaining records, and adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Warehouse training or powered industrial truck training beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and other powered equipment to load, unload, move, stack, and stage products.
• Pull and prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring correct quantity and product type.
• Inspect inbound and outbound shipments for damage, infestation, and product accuracy.
• Verify load counts, stability, product codes, and shipping requirements.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and complete required warehouse documentation.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Change forklift batteries or LP tanks and monitor equipment performance.
• Assist with physical inventories and inventory control activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned by management.

Looking for Forklift Operator jobs in Lacombe where your equipment skills keep warehouse operations moving? This opportunity lets you safely transport materials, support inventory movement, and help maintain efficient warehouse and distribution operations.

will be responsible for operating power equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting product. Responsible for checking all inbound and outbound products. Ensures products are free of damage and infestation, product code dates are properly recorded and products match customer requirements.

Education Requirements

Experience Requirements

• Three years of forklift operation experience is desirable. 2 years Sit Down Forklift in a warehouse environment
• Ability to load, unload, move, stack, and organize palletized materials.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and safe equipment operation.
• Ability to accurately identify inventory, shipping documentation, and storage locations.
• Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and commitment to workplace safety.
• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment is essential.
• Must have computer experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or shipping and receiving is preferred.
• Current forklift certification or experience operating multiple classes of powered industrial equipment is beneficial.
• Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, teamwork, reliability, and productivity are well positioned for success as a Forklift Operator.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments.
• Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.
