Job summary

US Foods in Houston, TX is hiring for a forklift operator to support night and day shift operations. Start times at 5pm with Sunday–Thursday schedule; compensation base rate of $25.00–$27.75 per hour, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and more.

The role requires OSHA forklift certification and adherence to safety standards. Operate forklifts to move pallets, place stock in correct slots, and help maintain accurate inventory levels.

Qualifications

• Able to read and write legibly and perform basic math operations.
• Familiar with Voxware commands used in warehouse operations.
• OSHA forklift certification is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior selector experience preferred.
• Prior forklift operator experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport pallet loads from dock to the correct warehouse slot using powered industrial equipment and ensure pallets are secure to prevent damage or injury.
• Replenish pick slots with product from reserve slots to maintain inventory levels for night shift selections.
• Perform safety checks including battery, brakes, lift controls, and fire extinguisher.
• Record all product, equipment and warehouse damage.
• Maintain cleanliness of aisles by removing debris from floor and racks.
• Follow safety policies and practices at all times.
