Job summary

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Forklift Operator to join our team in Elwood, Illinois. This role involves operating material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within the warehouse.

A high school diploma or GED and at least 6 months of forklift experience are preferred. The position offers a night shift from 10pm to 6am, starting pay of $22.25 per hour, and an excellent benefits package including medical, dental, and vision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months forklift operation experience and/or experience using warehouse equipment.
• Must qualify and pass NFI forklift certification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective customer service skills and basic math.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, 10–12 hours.
• Lift/pull 10–50 lbs as needed.
• Work irregular hours including nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operates all material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Performs pre-operation inspections and documents results.
• Stacks and stores merchandise using forklift, clamp, or push-pull equipment.
• Unloads inbound shipments and moves product to storage locations.
• Picks and prepares products for shipment.
• Moves product from staging to trailers for outbound loads.
• Maintains inventory accuracy and supports cycle counts.
• Uses RF scanning devices to support inventory accuracy.
• Reports safety concerns to management promptly.
• Demonstrates basic Excel and computer proficiency.
• Performs other duties as required by the role.
