Job summary

TMS International is seeking a qualified 3rd Shift Foreman to lead a two-person night crew at our Reading, PA site. This role requires independent oversight of heavy equipment operation, safety enforcement, and light PM tasks, with responsibility for production flow and quick problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting background.
• Experience with aggregate conveying and processing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams; strong communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; problem-solving skills.
• Preferred: BA/BS degree or equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a two-person night-shift crew; assign work, enforce safety, and maintain production flow.
• Operate heavy equipment as needed and provide coverage for call-offs and staffing gaps.
• Perform light preventive maintenance on off-highway equipment and support the corporate PM program.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns during shift with minimal oversight.
• Coordinate with Operations and Maintenance to plan and complete repairs.
• Track and communicate equipment status, repair needs, and shift handoffs clearly.
• Follow maintenance policies and site safety requirements; understand equipment costs.
