Austin Bridge & Road is currently seeking an experienced Night Shift Foreman for a large project in the Farmers Branch, Texas area. They are responsible for providing supervision and coordination of workers on a structures/bridge construction crew. The goals of this position include scheduling work to meet timetables in a safe manner and to meet estimated costs. The person must maintain a good working relationship with inspectors, developers, vendors and subcontractors.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Skilled and semi-skilled hourly employee-owners

Responsibilities:

• Manage a small amount of onsite equipment fleet
• Recruit hourly trade personnel
• Manage craftsmen and laborers, equipment and materials
• Logistics planning
• Scheduling construction daily and weekly
• Execute project work plans
• Manage crews productively and efficiently
• Training of others on the crew
• Purchasing of materials, tools and supplies
• Maintain a safe working environment
• Perform quality work to meet requirements
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of concrete forming systems, carpentry skills, concrete placement, and finishing skills
• Experience in supervising crew
• Experience using HCSS Heavy Job (tablet based)
• Osha 10 hr, First Aid/CPR, rigging, flagging, fall protection, trench excavation, and manlift
• Experience with demolition, earthwork concrete paving, setting temporary concrete barrier, etc. a plus
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Must have a strong commitment to jobsite safety
• Must be highly organized with an attention to detail
• Be an effective communicator
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and meet deadlines

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED or higher
• 5+ years of experience on large heavy civil projects - TxDOT or highway construction (MOT, Barrier setting, Earthwork, Demolition, Concrete paving)
• Valid driver’s license
• Requires working outdoors at times in the rain or snow and during cold, warm, and hot temperatures
• Must be able to work one of two shifts:
  • Open to swing shift (noon to midnight)
  • Night shift (6pm – 5am)
• Must be able to work on call as needed
