Job summary

Volm Companies Inc. in Idaho Falls is seeking a Press Operator for the night shift to set up, operate and maintain flexographic presses.

You will monitor ink, adjust run settings, verify quality, and collaborate with maintenance, mounting and ink teams to meet the production schedule. This full-time role requires reading job jackets, following specifications, and helping train other operators while adhering to OSHA and plant safety rules.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience with flexographic printing and ability to set up and operate 6-10 color press.
• One year of experience reading color, opacity, density, and dot gain on X-Rite spectrometer preferred.
• Knowledge of solvents and how to use them; demonstrate safe work habits.

Responsibilities

• Operate flexographic printing presses, perform job set-ups, run jobs, monitor inks and colors.
• Optimize machine settings to deliver high quality with minimal waste and check print quality.
• Assist in basic preventative maintenance and repair; train new employees.
• Follow production schedule and verify specifications on job jacket and samples.
• Complete production reports and enter data into the tracking system.
• Comply with OSHA safety, AIB, and plant regulations.
